Today we held a group meeting to decided what our piece was going to be about. We each put our ideas forward and together decided which one we preffered. Much to my happiness my idea(s) were put forward (a combination of idea 1 and idea 2).
Our drama piece will form around a single character holding multiple interesting stories spoken to the camera directly. (much like sign language and about a girl) but the character holds a dark secret and it is revealed in the final shot that he is indeed homeless and the flashbacks prior to the reveal how it came about due to a huge gambling addiction that has taken over his life. The character will have a happy go lucky attiditute and be very happy and positive.
I plan to write out a small character development document with the director so that we have an interesting enough character to work with. I also already have an actor in mind for the role.
